Business Development Intern

The Business Development Intern will play an active role on RPI’s Business Development team. They will be responsible for assisting the team in key activities related to company retention, expansion, and attraction efforts, which are critical to achieve RPI’s overall strategy and objectives. Key responsibilities include updating the Salesforce database and preparing reports on business retention, expansion, and attraction, supporting the business development team as needed, representing The Right Place at external events, identifying companies that may be appropriate targets for The Right Place's key programs, assisting to finalize a regional technology company capabilities matrix, and more.

Business Intelligence Intern

The Right Place (RPI) is looking for a curious, open-minded researcher to join its Business Intelligence (BI) team as a summer intern. The BI intern will be responsible for assisting the team in research, data collection, analysis, and other tasks related to the business intelligence team’s strategic goals. Primarily, the intern will assist in day-to-day business intelligence work, including supporting the RPI business development team’s attraction and retention efforts, generating wage and labor market analysis, assisting in managing the organization’s Salesforce instance, and other tasks. The BI Intern will also work closely with the team to research, analyze, and draft business intelligence research reports. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience working on a variety of business intelligence-related projects in the economic development field.

Hello West Michigan Marketing & Communications Intern

Under general direction, the Marketing Communications Intern manages several of their own project areas and gains exposure to the work done by other team members in a collaborative environment. They will be responsible for assisting the team in implementing the organization’s marketing and communication strategy and tactics. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on, professional experience working on a variety of marketing and communication efforts including content creation, social media, customer communication (CRM), website content management, and email marketing. The right candidate for this position will possess a strong work ethic and enthusiasm to gain new knowledge and experience.
